Jim Ricks

bouncy dolmen sacrilege

I was contacted by Jeremy Deller in late 2011 about his possible Bouncy Stonehenge project. I didn't think much of it at the time (I didn't even register his second name, just replied to some Jeremy), but I gave him my blessings. Later, I found out it was moving ahead and met Mr. Deller in Glasgow in April of 2012. I suggested a cross border 'peace building' bouncy event. The two pieces were then covered in a Guardian article by Charlotte Higgins. The Bounce-off was on.

The first ever Megalithic Bounce-Off in Belfast was eventually made possible with the help of Sally Shaw and Jeremy Deller's team as part of the Sacrilege tour for the London Olympics.
